Former NC State OL Zeke Correll signs undrafted rookie deal with Minnesota Vikings

NC State center Zeke Correll might have been the Wolfpack’s most-underrated transfer portal addition after he joined the Wolfpack from Notre Dame last offseason. Now, he’ll have an opportunity to pursue his dream of playing in the NFL after he signed an undrafted rookie free agent contract with the Minnesota Vikings, the Wolfpack program announced.
Correll did not allow a sack in his 489 pass-blocking snaps with the Pack. He gave up just seven total quarterback pressures, including eight games with none given up in his lone season at NC State. The six-year collegiate center didn’t allow a sack in his final 26 games of his career, dating back to the 2022 season at Notre Dame.
The 6-foot-3, 307-pound offensive lineman was able to impress on the field, despite missing the Wolfpack’s spring practice slate due to an offseason surgery. He spent that time looking to learn his teammates, and in the process, became an improved leader. That time led to Correll being named a captain in his only campaign at NC State.
“[Correll] had to really learn how to lead from the back,” Doeren told TheWolfpacker.com last summer. “I think that’s helped him now because when he’s in the front — all spring he was an encouragement guy, he wasn’t demanding because he wasn’t playing — now he can demand. In retrospect, this was a really good thing for him to go through. It’s helped him grow into a better leader from the front.”

Before he suited up with the Wolfpack, Correll was a full-time starter at Notre Dame for two seasons. He was integral in the Irish’s unit to make the Joe Moore Award watch list, which honors the top offensive lines in all of college football, during both the 2022 and 2023 campaigns.
In all, Correll played 2,833 snaps at the collegiate level, where he allowed just 42 quarterback pressures and only three sacks. Now, he’s looking to earn a roster spot with the Vikings, who previously had former NC State standout Garrett Bradbury, a 2019 first-round pick, as their center for the past six seasons.
NC State had just one draft pick this season as offensive tackle Anthony Belton was selected with the 54th overall pick by the Green Bay Packers in Friday night’s second round. The Wolfpack has produced 30 draft picks through coach Dave Doeren’s first 12 seasons in Raleigh, including seven offensive linemen.
