NC State coach Will Wade continues to build his first roster with the Wolfpack. Houston transfer Terrance Arceneaux is the latest addition to the Wolfpack as he pledged his commitment on Friday.

Arceneaux, a 6-foot-6 forward, elected to join the Pack after an official visit to Raleigh this past weekend. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

The Beaumont, Texas, native was a role player with the Cougars for his previous three seasons of college basketball, but improved from year-to-year. He posted a career-best 6.5 points with 2.7 rebounds and 0.9 steals per game on 44.3 percent shooting this past season.

Arceneaux posted a season-bet 16 points in a 78-49 win over Toledo on Dec. 18, while he scored in double figures 12 other times as he played 20.3 minutes a night with Houston.

As a sophomore, Arceneaux got off to a solid start in his first 11 games until he suffered a season-ending right Achilles injury that required surgery. He was an American Athletic Conference All-Freshman Team selection as a key reserve during the 2021-22 campaign, which led to some NBA Draft buzz, but he returned to Houston.

Prior to his collegiate career, Arceneaux was the No. 42 player in the Class of 2021, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He ranked at the No. 15 small forward and was the fourth-best prospect in Texas.

NC State has four scholarships available for the 2025-26 campaign. Arceneaux joins McNeese guards Alyn Breed and Quadir Copeland, Michigan State guard Tre Holloman, Butler transfer forward Colt Langdon and Florida State forward Jerry Deng as the Wolfpack’s first four portal pickups of the offseason.

The Pack also garnered a commitment from Tampa (Fla.) Sagemont Prep four-star guard Matt Able, while sophomore guard Paul McNeil Jr. is the only returning scholarship player from last year’s squad.
