How NC State is preparing to face Purdue’s Zach Edey in Final Four clash
GLENDALE, Ariz. — If there is any reason NC State coach Kevin Keatts has tossed and turned all night the last four days, Purdue center Zach Edey is the reason why. The likely two-time Naismith National Player of the Year has been a nightmare for opposing defenses all season, and the Wolfpack will see him in the Final Four on Saturday night at State Farm Stadium. “He's playing at a high level,” Keatts said of Edey Thursday in his first Final Four press conference. “He can score the ball. We got to get him out of that lane. He lives in that lane. He's really talented. The way he's become a lot better is he passes the ball a lot.” Edey, who stands at 7-foot-4, is a unique big man. NC State has one of their own in graduate forward DJ Burns, but Edey’s combination of height and skill create a challenge on the defensive end.
