How NC State’s transfer portal additions will help in 2025

NC State made its way to the Men’s College World Series with just four Division I transfers this past season. But in the first month since it left Omaha, the Wolfpack has already added a quartet of transfers for next year’s roster.  Wolfpack coach Elliott Avent touted his mostly homegrown roster at Charles Schwab Field, but he noted that he would utilize the transfer portal to plug holes on the roster. And, well, NC State had plenty of gaps to fill after multiple key contributors ran out of eligibility after the season concluded.  NC State’s newcomers include a proven outfielder with a solid right-handed pitcher and a pair of inexperienced yet high ceiling players. Here’s a look at how the Pack’s transfer portal additions will impact the 2025 roster by order in which they committed to NC State.
