It was not what NC State fans expected to be chanting in Week 3, but after freshman quarterback CJ Bailey plunged into the end zone from a yard out in the fourth quarter, the first-year signal-caller's name rained down inside Carter-Finley Stadium. Bailey, who played the final eight minutes of the Wolfpack's loss to Tennessee last week, entered in relief of an injured Grayson McCall. And while he took time to settle in at the helm of the Pack offense, including an interception, Bailey was able to engineer his first touchdown drive of his career. That fourth-quarter score helped the Wolfpack to a 10-point advantage, which it was able to hold onto the rest of the way to beat Louisiana Tech 30-20 in front of a sold-out crowd on Saturday afternoon in Raleigh. Bailey finished 13-of-20 passing for 156 yards and 27 rushing yards and a touchdown in his first consistent action of his young collegiate career.
