Instant observations: NC State survives in overtime win over Georgia Tech
It didn't matter that Georgia Tech entered the game in the middle of the pack within the ACC's standings when the Yellow Jackets arrived in Raleigh on Sunday afternoon. The visitors from Atlanta gave NC State a run for its money, but the Wolfpack found answers when it needed to against the Yellow Jackets. NC State did enough in overtime to pull away for an 86-85 win at Reynolds Coliseum, which allowed the Wolfpack to keep pace within the top-four of the ACC standings through the weekend. Junior guard Aziaha James led the Wolfpack with 30 points, while senior guard Madison Hayes chipped in with 15 points.
