Instant Observations: Turnovers doom NC State in loss to Syracuse
NC State was looking to shake a fourth-quarter collapse in a loss to Wake Forest last week with Syracuse in town on Saturday night. But what followed was the total opposite of what the Wolfpack was looking for against the Orange. The Pack turned the ball over three times deep inside the Orange territory, which allowed Syracuse to take advantage and win 24-17 at Carter-Finley Stadium. Freshman quarterback CJ Bailey was 17-of-24 passing for 329 yards with two touchdowns and one interception, while he added seven carries for 28 rushing yards to lead NC State's ground attack. Redshirt freshman wide receiver Noah Rogers paced the Pack’s aerial attack with four catches for 95 yards and a touchdown. Defensively, graduate safety DK Kaufman led the Pack with 11 total tackles. Here are TheWolfpacker.com's instant observations from the loss.
