JUCO transfer Landon Carr’s bond with Clint Chrysler secures NC State commitment

Landon Carr was at a wedding in Vermont when his phone buzzed with an unexpected message. He was committed to Campbell, but the text said the Camels’ coach, Justin Haire, was leaving for Ohio State. All of a sudden, Carr was unsure whether Campbell was the place for him.  Soon after, Carr spoke with his father and they deemed it would not be a bad idea to look elsewhere as a junior college transfer from Gaston College. As it turned out, that move proved to be right as plenty of programs came calling for Carr’s services.  But after sorting through the interested teams and a visit to Raleigh, Carr committed to NC State on Thursday morning. He’s the third junior college transfer to join the Wolfpack for the 2025 season on top of the five Division I transfers that committed to NC State.
