Landers Nolley II, Memphis transfer, set to visit NC State
A second transfer portal target has set up an official visit to NC State basketball. This time it is Memphis junior wing Landers Nolley II, a development first reported by Jake Weingarten.
Nolley may sound familiar to NC State basketball fans. He had a stellar freshman season at Virginia Tech, averaging 15.5 points per game in 2019-20, while adding 5.8 rebounds per contest. During that season, Nolley dropped in 29 points along with seven rebounds in a Hokies win over NC State in Blacksburg, Va.
After one season at Virginia Tech, Nolley decided to transfer and considered NC State as an option, but ultimately decided on Memphis. He had averages of 13.1 points and 4.1 rebounds in his Tigers debut season, and then contributed 9.8 points and 3.9 rebounds this past season.
Nolley is set to officially visit Texas A&M this weekend. Aggies head coach Buzz Williams originally signed Nolley, but never coached him. Nolley redshirted his freshman season, and then Williams left to assume his current position.
Nolley, a native of Fairburn, Ga., is scheduled to officially visit NC State April 15-17. He has also heard from Arkansas, BYU, Marquette, Pittsburgh and South Carolina, among others.

Landers Nolley II Is Second Potential Transfer Portal Visitor
NC State basketball is set to host Ole Miss wing Luis Rodriguez this weekend.
Rodriguez is also receiving interest from Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas State, Louisville, Marquette, Nevada, Oregon, Rutgers, Texas, UNLV, Washington State and West Virginia.
The 6-foot-6, 210-pound Rodriguez is a Los Angeles native who has been a two-year starter for Ole Miss. In 2021, Rodriguez averaged 7.6 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. This past season, Rodriguez contributed 6.6 points and 5.5 boards a contest. He’s also had 87 steals in the past two years, averaging 1.5 per contest.
Rodriguez was second on Ole Miss in rebounding and led the team in steals this past season.
Rodriguez broke into the starting lineup for Ole Miss in 2019-20, but he suffered a season-ending broken foot five games into the year.
Last week, NC State basketball announced the hire of alum Levi Watkins as a new assistant coach. For the past four years, Watkins has been an assistant at Ole Miss, explaining the Wolfpack connection to Rodriguez.
