NC State adds commitment from Wyoming transfer C Scottie Ebube

NC State’s roster building is officially over. The Pack added the final piece of its 2025-26 roster via Wyoming transfer center Scottie Ebube, who committed on Wednesday afternoon.
Ebube, who has one year of eligibility remaining, averaged 5.0 points and 2.7 rebounds in 10.4 minutes across 23 games last season. He spent his first three seasons of college basketball at Southern Illinois.
The Mundelein, Ill, native posted a career-best 22 points on 11-of-14 shooting in Wyoming’s 67-58 loss at San Jose State on Jan. 25 — the center’s top performance from the college ranks.
During his time at Southern Illinois was able to develop into an effiecentscoerer from the field. He averaged 6.0 points and 3.6 rebounds during his third season with the Salukis, posting a 69 percent shooting clip in the process.

Before his foray into the college ranks, Ebube was a two-time All-State selection at Mundelein (Ill.) High as he paced the Mustangs to a 43-6 record in his final two seasons of varsity action.
Ebube is familiar with NC State assistant general manager Patrick Stacy, who was the Cowboys’ general manager last season as he helped get Ebube to Laramie, Wyo. That connection was key as the Wolfpack bolstered its front court depth with Ebube’s addition.
Ebube projects as a reserve center behind North Carolina transfer Ven-Allen Lubin along with four-star freshman post Mikey Wilkins. It’s likely that Ebube takes Congolese freshman center Paul Mbiya’s spot on the Wolfpack roster after his transition to the college ranks appears unlikely this season.
