Although NC State just wrapped up its spring practice schedule, the Wolfpack is already busy bolstering its defense ahead of summer workouts and fall camp. The latest addition? Wyoming transfer defensive end Sabastian Harsh, who has one year of eligibility remaining.

Harsh joins Utah State transfer defensive end Sian Slone, who committed on Saturday morning. as the Pack’s post-spring additions. The latest addition projects to play at EDGE, along with Tra Thomas, who arrived in Raleigh over the winter.

The Scottsbluff, Neb., native spent the past five seasons at Wyoming, redshirting the 2020 campaign and he didn’t play in 2022 due to injury. He posted 98 total tackles, including 18 for a loss, with five sacks in his three healthy seasons at the collegiate level.

Harsh appeared in eight games with the Cowboys this past season. He posted 41 total tackles, including nine for a loss, with two sacks. Harsh, who played 366 total snaps on defense this past season, logged 20 quarterback pressures, including 14 hurries with four hits and the pair of sacks, according to Pro Football Focus.

Harsh recorded at least four tackles in each of his eight appearances last season, including a season-high seven in Wyoming’s 34-14 loss to BYU on Sept. 14.

A 2023 All-Mountain West Third Team selection by Phil Steele, Harsh put together his best campaign two years ago. He posted 50 total tackles, including nine for a loss, and three sacks during his second full season on the gridiron.
