NC State announces 30 athletes set to participate in senior day ceremony
NC State plays its final home game of the season Saturday afternoon against Boston College. Prior to the game, the Wolfpack announced that 30 members of the program will be recognized during the annual senior day festivities.
The complete lists includes expected names, such as Isaiah Moore or Chandler Zavala, who are playing their sixth seasons of college football, and a few underclassman additions, including redshirt-sophomore cornerback Shyheim Battle.

Head coach Dave Doeren told the media to not read too much into the list of athletes included on the senior day list. It is not a definite indicator that all of them will leave NC State after this year. Doeren just wants to make sure that everyone who could leave receives recognition for their contributions to the Wolfpack program.
He also asked NC State fans to arrive a little early for the senior day ceremony set to take place before the 3:30 Saturday kickoff against Boston College. More details will be shared by the athletic department later this week.

Collectively, this group has 55 years of starting experience at NC State. One of the most notable inclusions on the list is 2022 Preseason ACC Player of the Year and star quarterback Devin Leary. The Wolfpack signal caller started the first 6 games of the year before suffering a season-ending Pectoral muscle tear.
Before this season, it seemed like a forgone conclusion that Leary would head to the NFL after this fall— his fifth year of college football. His injury, which the quarterback recently told the media could take 4-6 months to heal following surgery, could complicate that decision.
Leary told the media during a Nov. 1 press conference that he has not made a decision on his future.
“Obviously, this isn’t ideal,” Leary said. “Obviously, this isn’t what I wanted to happen. But, at this point, the priority for me is to get healthy. The priority for me is to help this team, help MJ [Morris], help Jack [Chambers], be around the guys as much as I can. But really, for me, I mean, I can’t make any type of decision without being healthy, without knowing when I’m going to throw again.”
