After it squandered a 14-point lead at Virginia, NC State is back on the road to square off with Wake Forest at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Saturday afternoon. The two squads are eager to add to their win total in the ACC, both tied for seventh at 1-1 in the league. While it’s early in conference play, every game is an opportunity to build for the league tournament at the end of the season in Charlotte. The short drive to Winston-Salem is no different for NC State, a team that seemed to be in the driver’s seat at Virginia until its offense sputtered in the second half.
