NC State football updates jersey numbers
The NC State football roster updated the measurements earlier this week. On Tuesday morning, new jersey numbers were revealed.
Notable is that no player has yet been assigned No. 1, which has become a coveted number worn by a team leader under head coach Dave Doeren. Super senior linebacker Payton Wilson confessed that Doeren asked him if he wanted the number, but Wilson chose to stick with his No. 11.
The No. 1 was worn the past three seasons by linebacker Isaiah Moore, who is at the NFL Combine this week in Indianapolis, Ind.
There are 19 newcomers on the NC State football roster for the spring, a combination of early enrollees from the recruiting class and transfers from major colleges and junior colleges.
