NC State depth chart for Wake Forest: Offense

The No. 20/21 NC State football team has officially released the depth chart for the Saturday evening game at home against Wake Forest. The offense depth chart can be seen below.

No surprise here as there is a change at the top of the depth chart. Morris ascends to the starting job after completing 20 of 29 passes for 265 yards and 3 touchdowns in the comeback win over Virginia Tech.

Morris was named the ACC Rookie of the Week.

Doeren said that they are hopeful that Sumo-Karngbaye could return this Saturday after missing the last two games with an unspecified injury. Prior to then, Sumo-Kargnbaye was leading the Wolfpack with 299 rushing yards and also had 12 receptions for 148 yards and a score.

Carter had 18 receptions for 256 yards and a score. He has started each contest with the exception of the Syracuse loss which he missed with an injury.

Jones has added 16 catches for 140 yards and a score.

In one change from prior depth charts, Timmons was added after he hauled in a pair of passes for 51 yards in the win over Virginia Tech.

Toudle has 9 receptions for 89 yards and a score on the season. Walker is back on the depth chart, perhaps an indication he is nearing a return from injury that has held him out the past three weeks.

In a major change, Speas has switched from right to left tackle and been added as an “or” with Belton. Speas has added 14 pancakes and 4 knockdowns while also being partially responsible for 1 sack. He started the first 3 games of the year at right tackle.

Zavala also has 22 pancakes through the first 8 weeks, all starts. He was limited to just 14 snaps at Syracuse with an eye injury. He was partially responsible for a sack vs. Virginia Tech, the first time Zavala has allowed a quarterback to get tackled this year.

Gibson has 33 pancakes thus far this season for NC State, including matching his career-high with 8 vs. Virginia Tech. He was named the co-ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week for his performance vs. Connecticut. He has been responsible for allowing 2.5 sacks, 1.5 of which occurred vs. the Hokies.

When Gibson left the game due to having the wind knocked out of him vs. UConn, Dylan McMahon slid over to center from his right guard spot.
