Holiday Bowl is canceled hours before kickoff
As first reported by FOX Sports’ Bruce Feldman, Tuesday evening’s San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl between NC State football and UCLA has been canceled due to COVID-19 issues within the Bruins program.
UCLA confirmed the news shortly after 3:30 p.m. eastern time, less than five hours before the scheduled kickoff at 8 p.m.

Per Feldman, UCLA was down to two interior defensive linemen for the Holiday Bowl before further COVID related issues arose on game day.
Unless NC State can be used as a replacement for another bowl game opening that may arise, its season ends with a 9-3 record, including a 6-2 mark in the ACC.
