And then there were eight. That’s how many members of the NC State football recruiting class of 2022 have arrived on campus. Three more made the move this weekend, joining five fellow members already in Raleigh.

The five that enrolled for the spring semester for NC State:

On3 Consensus four-star running back Michael Allen, Greenville (N.C.) Rose High

On3 Consensus three-star defensive back Isaiah Crowell, Kernersville (N.C.) East Forsyth High

On3 Consensus three-star defensive lineman D.J. Jackson, Sumter (S.C.) High

On3 Consensus three-star corner Jackson Vick, Bailey (N.C.) Southern Nash High

On3 Consensus four-star linebacker Torren Wright, Kannapolis (N.C.) A.L. Brown High

The three from NC State football recruiting who have joined for the first session of summer school include:

On3 Consensus three-star defensive lineman Nick Campbell from Lake Minneola (Fla.) High

Nick Campbell had 47 tackles (13 solo), including 12 for loss and five sacks in 10 games as a senior. He also forced a pair of fumbles.

Campbell, who checked in at 6-foot-4, 290 pounds, played in a 3-man front defense similar to what NC State uses.

He was also one of the more well-recruited players in the class.

Over a dozen Power Five teams offered Campbell a scholarship, and he had set up official visits to Nebraska, Virginia and West Virginia before joining the NC State football recruiting class.

The On3 Consensus lists the No. 81 defensive lineman in the country and No. 100 player from talent-rich Florida.

On3 Consensus four-star defensive lineman Brandon Cleveland from Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood Day

Brandon Cleveland is an ideal fit for the NC State 3-man front on defense. He also has checked in at 6-foot-4, 290 pounds. Cleveland was athletic enough to be a good baseball player in high school.

He had 50 tackles (31 solo), including 26 for loss and eight sacks as a senior. He also added an interception, two pass break-ups and five quarterback hurries.

Rated by the On3 Consensus the No. 48 defensive lineman in the country and the No. 50 player in talent-rich Florida, Cleveland originally committed to Miami.

After backing off that pledge, Cleveland committed to NC State over Virginia, where he officially visited along with Raleigh, and California.

On3 Consensus three-star quarterback MJ Morris from Carrollton (Ga.) High

MJ Morris may be one of the more well-recognizable names in the NC State football recruiting class.

Checking in at 6-foot-2, 192 pounds, Morris is the potential quarterback of the future for the Wolfpack.

He completed 186 of 295 passes (63.1 percent) for 3,089 yards and 33 touchdowns with just nine interceptions in 14 games as a senior. He also rushed 109 times for 602 yards and seven more scores.

After compiling a who’s who offer list, Morris narrowed his choices to the Wolfpack, Georgia Tech and Nebraska before committing to join the NC State football recruiting class.

Morris will also try to play baseball for the Pack.
