This has been a more active than normal stretch for NC State football recruiting for the Wolfpack. Since March 13, three players have joined the Wolfpack class, including this week when priority NC State target and On3 Industry three-star safety Brody Barnhardt from Providence Day School in Charlotte picked the Pack over North Carolina, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin.

In the latest edition of The Wolfpacker Show, hosts Matt Carter and Ethan McDowell break down Barnhardt’s decision, with McDowell sharing how after his first conversation with Providence Day coach Chad Grier about Barnhardt, McDowell instantly thought Barnhardt would be a perfect fir for the NC State defense.

Carter and McDowell than go over all four commitments thus far in the NC State football recruiting class — On3 Industry three-star quarterback Cedric Bailey Jr. from Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep, On3 Industry three-star cornerback Asaad Brown from the Tidewater region in Virginia and On3 Industry three-star linebacker Cannon Lewis from Huntington (W.Va.) Cabell Midland High.

After breaking down each of the Wolfpack pledges, Carter and McDowell turn their attention to the remainder of the class. McDowell explained why he feels that the fortunes for NC State football recruiting have improved dramatically in the past couple of months.

Among the topics discussed:

• Why the commitment of Bailey could pay dividends at the wide receiver position for the Wolfpack, which is a priority for NC State and also happens to be the strength of the in-state class of 2024 talent.

• Which position board is most well developed thus far for NC State football recruiting? Both Carter and McDowell agree about which group that is, and the two explained their reasoning.

• What position group is on the opposite end of the spectrum? McDowell gives his opinion of what group he is most curious to see how the board expands in the coming summer months.

•¨How many more commitments might join the NC State football recruiting class between now and the first weekend of June, when official visits and summer camps begin to amp up in what has turned into the busiest time of the year for recruiting.

All that and more in the latest episode of The Wolfpacker Show.
