NC State football transfer portal tracker
NC State is preparing for the Military Bowl against East Carolina at the end of the month, but the Wolfpack also has to navigate the NCAA’s transfer portal in the meantime.
Less than 48 hours after the Pack’s regular season finale win over North Carolina, NC State had players declare their intention to depart the program. The transfer portal is open from Dec. 9 until Dec. 28 during its first of two windows that players are allowed to enter it (April 16-25 in the spring).
Here’s a look at NC State players that have officially entered the transfer portal, as well any players the Wolfpack is recruiting to join the team from other programs.

Punt returner departs
12/11/2024 02:42:05 PMNC State graduate wide receiver Jalen Coit is headed to the transfer portal. He spent the past five seasons with the Wolfpack and was the team’s primary punt returner for each of the last two years.
Coit had five punt returns for 37 yards this season after he was third in the ACC with 16 attempts for 166 yards (10.4 per return) last fall. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
Reserve WR headed to portal
12/11/2024 10:48:49 AMNC State graduate wide receiver Jakolbe Baldwin will hit the transfer portal, he announced.
The 6-foot, 192-pound wideout, who spent the last four seasons at NC State, logged a career-best 258 total snaps this season, including 52 on offense. He was primarily featured on kick coverage and return, and punt coverage and return this fall.
Former sack leader officially enters portal
12/11/2024 10:48:43 AMDE Red Hibbler, who led the Wolfpack with 6.5 sacks in 2023, is now in the transfer portal. He left the team after the Pack’s Week 4 loss at Clemson in order to preserve his redshirt for the 2024 season.
The former junior college recruit appeared in the Wolfpack’s first four games of the 2024 season, recording six total tackles.
NC State offers Elon defensive lineman
12/09/2024 10:54:15 AMKahmari Brown, a 6-2, 220-pound defensive end from Elon, picked up an offer from NC State. UNC also offered Monday. He recorded 33 total tackles and 4 sacks during his freshman season.
LB Jayland Parker departs NC State
12/09/2024 08:35:32 AMRedshirt junior linebacker Jayland Parker announced his intention of transferring from NC State on Dec. 2. He officially appeared in the transfer portal on Monday morning with one year of eligibility remaining.
Parker played 124 total snaps across 10 games this season at NC State, mostly on special teams.
TE Juice Vereen is officially in
12/09/2024 08:32:20 AMSophomore tight end Juice Vereen declared for the transfer portal on Dec. 3 and was officially listed in it on Monday morning.
The former four-star recruit redshirted this season after playing in just four games. He has three seasons of eligibility remaining at his future school. Vereen caught four passes for 65 yards — all against Notre Dame in 2023 — during his time at NC State.
Another offensive lineman enters
12/09/2024 08:24:01 AMNC State redshirt freshman offensive lineman Obadiah “Obi” Obasuyi entered the transfer portal after two seasons in Raleigh. He did not appear in a game during his time with the Wolfpack.
WR Kevin Concepcion is in the portal
12/09/2024 08:05:32 AMNC State sophomore wide receiver Kevin Concepcion is officially in the transfer portal. He declared his intention of transferring on Dec. 1 after the Pack’s 35-30 win at UNC, which helped NC State earn bowl eligibility.
The 2023 ACC Rookie of the Year logged 53 receptions for 460 yards and six touchdowns in his second season with the Wolfpack.
NC State’s first official entry
12/09/2024 08:02:19 AMThe Pack’s first official transfer portal entry was reserve offensive lineman Sean Hill, who went in as a graduate transfer on Dec. 3.
Hill, a four-year player for the Wolfpack, was featured in six total games during his career in Raleigh. He logged 25 total offensive snaps on the offensive line, while Hill played another eight on special teams at NC State.
