Instant observations: NC State goes cold in loss to No. 7 North Carolina

NC State had its first sell out of the season at PNC Arena against No. 7 North Carolina on Wednesday night, but while the seats were full of Wolfpack faithful at tipoff, there was a smattering of empty seats by the end of the contest. That’s the kind of night it was for the red and white. NC State’s shooting woes continued, and it cost the home team in a 67-54 result as the Tar Heels were able to pull away down the stretch on one of many Pack cold stretches.
