NC State offensive lineman Jaleel Davis enters transfer portal
Another member of NC State’s 2023 offensive line room made his transfer decision official Monday morning. Jaleel Davis has officially entered the transfer portal, On3 confirmed.
The redshirt sophomore Wolfpack lineman signed with the program in the 2021 class and spent three seasons with the team before deciding to pursue collegiate opportunities elsewhere. He joins center Lyndon Cooper as the two members of NC State’s offensive line room to transfer this offseason.
After redshirting the 2021 season, the 6-6, 315-pound offensive tackle played 3 snaps against Charleston Southern during the 2022 campaign. Davis did not make an appearance this fall.
He signed with the Wolfpack out of Rockingham (N.C.) Richmond Senior High as a three star prospect. The On3 Industry ranking considered him the 84 offensive tackle nationally, the No. 862 prospect over all and the No. 39 recruit in North Carolina’s 2021 class. Davis also held offers from Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Maryland and many others but committed to NC State May 26, 2020.

Based on TheWolfpacker.com’s count, the offensive lineman’s decision to transfer brings NC State down to 75 scholarships for the 2024 season once the 20 Wolfpack prep commits officially join the program. Davis joins the following players who have also announced their intentions to transfer.
