BREAKING: UConn TE Justin Joly commits to NC State
NC State landed offensive transfer portal commitment for the second day in a row. This time, it was UConn tight end Justin Joly who joined the Wolfpack’s portal party, The Wolfpacker learned Thursday.
Joly is the No. 1 portal tight end, according to On3’s Industry rankings, and is the second tight end to commit to the Pack through the transfer portal. He joins junior college tight end Dante Daniels, who chose NC State over the weekend.
Joly is the Pack’s fifth transfer portal addition overall this offseason.
The New Rochelle, N.Y., caught 56 passes for 578 yards and two touchdowns this season. He had 74 receptions for 828 yards and four scores in his two seasons with the Huskies. Joly logged four catches for 38 yards, including a 25-yard grab, against NC State in the team’s season opener this fall.
Joly’s best game of the season was against Rice in early-October as he caught seven passes for 96 yards and a touchdown. That was one of five games in which he logged at least 50 receiving yards with the Huskies this fall. He also had a standout performance against Tennessee with eight receptions for 89 yards in early-November.

Before his stop with the Huskies, Joly helped lead Iona Prep to an 11-1 record during his senior year. He finished his three-year varsity career with 123 receptions for 1,827 yards and 22 total touchdowns.
