NC State’s junior day events over the past two weekends put the Wolfpack in prime contention in multiple recruitments, but it also landed the program’s third 2026 commitment. Baltimore (Md.) Milford Mill Academy three-star safety Koby Sarkodie pledged to the Pack on Monday night.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound defensive back posted 35 total tackles, including eight for a loss, with one sack and five passes defended during his junior campaign. He is expected to play linebacker in the Pack’s defense.

Sarkodie also held offers from Boston College, Maryland, Penn State, Tennessee and Virginia Tech among others. He is rated as the No. 14 player in the state of Maryland, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.

NC State was able to secure Sarkodie’s commitment following his junior day visit to Raleigh. He seemed to be keen on Penn State, a program he visited five times, including four trips during the 2024 football season. The Wolfpack, however, was able to position itself at the top of his recruitment after defensive coordinator D.J. Eliot made him a priority, including a January in-home visit.

Sarkodie joins Pfafftown (N.C.) Reagan three-star quarterback Jacob Smith and Richmond (Va.) Trinity Episcopal three-star offensive tackle Brady Sakowitz in the Wolfpack’s 2026 recruiting class.
