NC State Newsstand: Boo Corrigan was reportedly a target for Ohio State AD opening
Ohio State recently announced it hired Texas A&M Athletic Director Ross Bjork in the same role, but he was not the only candidate on the Buckeyes’ radar.
Another target was NC State Athletic Director Boo Corrigan, Yahoo Sports senior college football reporter Ross Dellenger said on The College Football Enquirer podcast this week.
“I was kind of following the behind the scenes of the search, especially the last couple weeks, and early on a name emerged: Boo Corrigan at NC State,” Dellenger said of the Ohio State opening. “There was some interest there, and for a while I actually thought that was going to happen. And then it wasn’t.”
Corrigan has been the Wolfpack’s athletic director since 2019. He served as the chair of the College Football Playoff committee this fall, which capped a three-year stint on the selection panel. Corrigan has also led NC State to back-to-back top-25 finishes in the Learfield Directors’ Cup for the first time in school history.
