Former Rice all-conference wide receiver Bradley Rozner committed to NC State July 17, picking the Wolfpack over Colorado and Washington State out of the transfer portal.
According to the university’s student directory, the graduate student has enrolled with the Wolfpack, which means he should be available for fall camp.
NC State wide receivers coach Joker Phillips and the rest of the staff worked quickly to help convince the 6-5 wide receiver that Raleigh was the right place to be. Rozner committed to the Pack without ever visiting campus and planned on moving to North Carolina over last weekend.
During the 2022 season, he caught 44 passes for 876 yards and 10 touchdowns and averaged 19.91 yards per catch. That was his seventh year of college football, following careers at Rice and Cisco College, where he was named an honorable mention junior college All-American.
Phillips and Rozner quickly built a bond during his brief recruitment, and the receiver shared his thoughts on his new position coach in a recent interview with TheWolfpacker.com.
“We’ve kind of bonded over my age,” Rozner said. “He actually sent me a text saying that I need to sign up for AARP, which I thought was hilarious.
“He’s a great dude, he’s genuine and he means well. I can’t wait to get up there and learn from him because he’s got a lot of experience.”

NC State quote of the day
This quote is from men’s basketball coach Kevin Keatts during an interview with 99.9 The Fan discussing star center D.J. Burns.
“He is so important to us in a lot of ways,” Keatts said. “Number one, it’s hard to find a guy who can score in college basketball with their back to the basket. It just doesn’t happen anymore. There may be five of those players in the country. And then his ability, his willingness to make easy passes or the right play? That’s a plus for our team.”
