NC State is preparing for a busy week of football recruiting news, and one of its top priority defensive prospects shared his commitment date over the weekend. Shortly after visiting Raleigh for the Alpha Wolf Showcase, Josh Alexander-Felton set his commitment date for August 4 at 6:45 p.m..
The three-star defensive lineman will host an announcement ceremony at Orlando (Fla.) Edgewater High that day. He visited NC State twice this summer, including once for a June 16-19 official visit, and he also took a June 23-25 trip to Maryland.
During his weekend with the Wolfpack, Alexander-Felton had nothing but great things to say about the program. That was his first official visit.
“I feel like family, it feels like a Pack, like I’m one of them,” Alexander-Felton said. “It’s a vibe out here man.”
NC State defensive line coach Charley Wiles is his primary recruiter, and they built an extremely strong bond over the past few months.
Alexander-Felton also holds offers from UCF, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Georgia Tech and others. Standing 6-4, 240 pounds, the On3 Industry Ranking considers him the No. 817 recruit in the country, the No. 78 defensive lineman and the No. 116 prospect in Florida’s 2024 class. NC State leads his Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) at 93.1 percent.

NC State quote of the day
This quote is from four-star wide receiver Jonathan Paylor. He shared an update on his recruitment with one week to go until his Aug. 4 decision.
“It’s still between the top five,” Paylor said. “Right now, all schools are still top contenders. All schools are still up there, but, right now, what helps me is the family decision, what program fits me the most and what offense would I fit in.”
