NC State men’s basketball officially filled its final scholarship for the 2023-2024 season June 16 when Kam Woods officially signed with the Wolfpack. The former NC A&T and Troy guard was an all-conference player last year and brings even more scoring to the lineup this year.
During the 2022-2023 season, he averaged 17.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game, earning a spot on the Colonial Athletic Association all-conference second team.. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound senior guard also received second-team HBCU All-America honors last year.
“I’m excited to be able to add a player of Kam’s ability to our roster,” Head coach Kevin Keatts said in a press release. “I love what I’ve seen from him on film, he is a dynamic player that plays with a high motor. “I think Kam will be an excellent addition to our locker room.”
He started his collegiate career at Troy and then spent a year at Northwest Florida State, winning a junior college national championship. Coming out of high school, Woods was a two-time 6A Alabama state player of the year, per his bio from Northwest Florida State,
