NC State Newsstand: Pack TE Justin Joly named among On3’s top 100 players in college football

As NC State prepares for its summer workout routine, there’s considerably less national attention on the program than it had a year ago. Despite that, the Wolfpack still had a player named to On3’s top 100 players entering the 2025 season.
Say hello to senior tight end Justin Joly, who checked in at No. 64 on the list — the top-ranked player at his position in the nation.
The former UConn transfer impressed in his first season with NC State last fall. He posted 43 receptions for a team-best 661 receiving yards to go with four touchdowns. When that stat line is distilled down, Joly’s impact is only more apparent with 254 yards after the catch to go with an 84.6 percent contested catch rate and 12 missed tackles forced, per Pro Football Focus.
Although Joly had some NFL Draft buzz going into the offseason, he elected to stay in Raleigh for one more season. Now, he’s set on working his way through the draft boards of all 32 teams with a standout second year with the Wolfpack.

Quote of the day
Former NC State safety Jarius Morehead is a Hendrick Motorsports pit crew member. His football experience has paid off in his new profession.
“His coaches kept saying that they recruited better athletes, but those athletes could never beat Jarius out because of his preparation, extra work in the film room and his ability to manage the defense,” HMS Developmental Pit Crew Director Keith Flynn said. “All of those attributes turned into exactly the same thing here at Hendrick.”
