NC State Newsstand: Priority OL Robby Martin sets commitment date

NC State hopes to add to its 2024 offensive line class in the upcoming weeks, and priority interior prospect Robby Martin publicly announced his decision date Sunday. The top-ranked prospect in West Virginia will share his decision July 31 at 3:30 p.m..

In addition to dropping his commitment date, he also posted a a top four of NC State, Maryland, West Virginia and Penn State. Martin has been a priority Wolfpack prospect for more than a year and has visited campus at least three times, including once for a June 16-18 official. The lineman visited West Virginia the week prior.

Offensive line coach Garett Tujague is his primary recruiter. TheWolfpacker.com caught up with Martin during his weekend in Raleigh, and the rising senior shared that he was already clicking with the current NC State players.

“I think I fit in with some of the players well,” Martin said.

Three-star tackle Trent Mitchell is the Pack’s lone offensive line commit of the 2024 cycle so far. If Martin joined the class, NC State would hold commitments from the top-two recruits in West Virginia. Cannon Lewis, a three-star linebacker, committed to the program last year.

Martin is a three-star prospect according to the On3 Industry Ranking, the No. 479 recruit in the country and the No. 37 interior offensive lineman. West Virginia leads his Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) at 36.9 percent.
