NC State football is well on its way to establishing itself as one of the winners of the winter transfer cycle. Following two official visit weekends, the program ranks No. 10 nationally in the On3’s national portal rankings and No. 4 in the ACC.

The Wolfpack holds 6 commitments from incoming prospects after 19 players decided to hit the portal this year. From Coastal Carolina quarterback Grayson McCall, to Maryland cornerback Corey Coley Jr., the program is continuing to fill critical needs.

Wake Forest wide receiver Wesley Grimes kicked off the transfer portal class Dec. 8 after taking a quiet unofficial trip to campus. Notre Dame center Zeke Correll and Missouri offensive tackle Valen Erickson followed that up with their announcements the following day.

Now, the Pack holds commitments from the following prospects.

– Wide receiver Wesley Grimes
– Center Zeke Correll
– Offensive tackle Valen Erickson
– Quarterback Grayson McCall
– Tight end Justin Joly
– Cornerback Corey Coley Jr.

This group holds an average player rating of 80.67, which places the Pack in the top-10, sandwiched between No. 11 SMU and No. 9 Boston College. Syracuse slots in at No. 8, and Louisville leads both the ACC and the country with its No. 1 transfer portal ranking.

NC State hosted double-digit visitors over the weekend. Priority prospects to monitor include Maryland defensive back Tamarcus Cooley, Duke running back Jordan Waters, Shaw wide receiver Donte Lee Jr., Tulane safety D.J. Douglas and others.
