NC State Athletics posted its second-best multi-year Academic Progress Rate (APR) in school history as it logged a 994 mark from the 2020-21 school year to 2023-24, the NCAA announced on Tuesday afternoon.

To reach that mark, the Wolfpack had nine teams log a perfect 1000 score, while 19 of the 20 squads on campus were above the national average for their respective sport.

Football logged a 987 APR, the highest-ever score in program history. Dave Doeren’s team has now posted an all-time high score in program history in back-to-back years. With the rating, Doeren earned a $50,000 bonus, according to his contract.

The APR is a measure of eligibility and retention for Division I athletes that the NCAA created to project eventual graduation rates. The formula is based on eligibility and retention of scholarship athletes, and the multi-year score is based on the past four years of performance.
