NC State football is 3-2 and approaching the midway point of its regular season. The program needs 3 more wins to reach bowl eligibility and, with that goal still well-within sight, a few media outlets projected the Pack’s postseason destination.

CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm made his most recent forecast, predicting a Dec. 29 Sun Bowl showdown in El Paso, Texas, against Oregon State.

Action Network’s Brett McMurphy projected the Wolfpack to the Dec. 28 Pinstripe Bowl for a clash against Rutgers in New York City’s Yankee Stadium. He also provides early betting lines for this game but wrote this matchup as a pick ’em.

ESPN reporters Mark Schlabach and Kyle Bonagura each made their predictions as well. Bonagura picked NC State for the Dec. 28 Fenway Bowl against Tulane, a game that would take place at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts. Schlabach agreed with McMurphy and slotted the Wolfpack into the Pinstripe Bowl against Rutgers.

To round out the group of predictions, USA Today reporter Erick Smith made his picks. He also predicted the Wolfpack will play in the Dec. 29 Sun Bowl against Oregon State.
