NC State men’s basketball spent last week just one spot outside of the Associated Press top-25, needing just a few more points to crack the ranking for the first time this season. A loss to North Carolina caused the program’s votes to fall, but the Pack still received four points in this week’s poll.
Going off of the number of points in the “others receiving votes category”, NC State currently ranks No. 38 in the nation.
Duke and North Carolina both received more points in the poll than the Wolfpack but both remain unranked as well. Virginia, No. 7, Miami, No. 20 and Clemson, No. 24, all made the top-25.

Quote of the day
This quote is from Wolfpack guard Terquavion Smith discussing his injury against North Carolina.
“I never been injured before,” Smith said. “That was my first time ever been in that situation, but not being able to feel my upper body was kind of scary to me.
“I knew my guys had me. I knew my coaches were going to take care of me, and my trainer. I just believed that and kept God first.”
