TheWolfpacker.com’s Friday Morning Newsstand

NC State kicks off its final official visit slate of the summer Friday afternoon with a group of priority prospects who will spend June 23-25 in Raleigh before the program heads into what could be a busy July full of commitment announcements.

This is the complete list of visitors.

And here’s a little background on each prospect.

  • Baly: A priority prospect for the Wolfpack who has been trending towards the program for months. He is ranked the No. 91 cornerback in the country and also holds offers from UNC, Florida State, Miami and many others. Mississippi State hosted him on an official visit last weekend.
  • Terrell: The lineman decommitted from Wake Forest earlier this year, and his recruitment quickly picked up from there. He has visited UNC, Cincinnati and UVA this summer, and the Wolfpack have the final crack at making a positive in-person impression.
  • Groves: After picking up an offer this spring, Groves has surged up NC State’s recruiting board. He took an official to Purdue earlier this month, and he stopped by Kentucky unofficially. The linebacker plans on announcing his decision July 1.
  • Plazz: He is arguably the program’s No. 1 offensive tackle prospect, and his recruitment recently reopened once he decomitted from Penn State. Miami and NC State are the main schools in contention moving forward, and the lineman from Florida visited the Hurricanes officially last week.
  • West: The 6-5 in-state offensive tackle from Andrews High officially visited Duke earlier this month and Georgia Tech unofficially. Wake Forest and Virginia Tech have also extended offers. West visited the Pack for the spring game.
  • Burge: A late addition to this weekend’s visitors slate, the defensive lineman from Alabama does not hold an offer from NC State yet but does holds scholarships from Maryland and Missouri.
