Graduate defensive back Ja’Had Carter made a name for himself within the ACC during his three seasons at Syracuse. He broke onto the scene with 65 total tackles, including 52 solo stops, with two interceptions as a freshman and was an ACC honorable mention as a junior at nickel.  Carter, who finished his trio of campaigns at Syracuse with 135 total tackles, became a hot target in the transfer portal market when he decided to leave the Orange after the 2022 season. He landed at Ohio State, but his stint with the Buckeyes was brief — five tackles in just 124 defensive snaps (his previous career low was 483) — after he battled a knee injury.  Now, in his final season of college football, Carter is at NC State. The defensive back is in his final season of college football, and well, he wants to make an even bigger impact in his return to the ACC.
