It felt like déjà vu watching NC State battle No. 7 North Carolina on Wednesday night at PNC Arena. The Wolfpack struggled to knock down shots from the field, but it hung around with the Tar Heels — just like it did at Notre Dame a week ago. In South Bend, the team’s first game off its _-day holiday break, NC State had a poor shooting performance with a 28.8% clip on the night. But it was able to pull out a win behind a stout defense and a late run. While it seemed like that was bound to happen again with the Tar Heels in Raleigh, NC State’s defense broke down late in the game, which allowed the team clad in Carolina Blue to rip off a 15-2 run to break the game open.
