NC State OL Robby Martin enters transfer portal
NC State freshman offensive lineman Robby Martin entered the transfer portal, TheWolfpacker.com and On3 learned Friday afternoon.
Martin joins defensive backs Brandon Cisse, Bishop Fitzgerald and Tamarcus Cooley to either enter the portal or tell On3 that they intend to do so in the last 24 hours.
Martin, who was the top-ranked player from West Virginia in the 2024 recruiting cycle, redshirted this past season at NC State. He played three total snaps this season, all in the Wolfpack’s 59-28 win over Stanford on Nov. 2.
The former three-star recruit built a solid relationship with offensive line coach Garett Tujague during his recruitment, which ultimately led to a commitment.

“Coach Tujague and I built a strong relationship,” Martin said during his official visit. “It’s been a good one, and I think we’re only building a bigger bond.”
Before he arrived on campus at NC State, Martin helped Huntington (W.Va.) High to an 11-2 record with an appearance in the third round of the state playoffs. He won the West Virginia state title as a junior as he primarily played left tackle during his high school career. In addition to his football success, Martin was a state wrestling champion in the 285-pound weight class.
