NC State OL Sean Hill enters transfer portal
NC State reserve center Sean Hill entered the transfer portal Tuesday, On3 and TheWolfpacker.com have learned.
Hill, a four-year player for the Wolfpack, was featured in six total games during his career in Raleigh. He logged 25 total offensive snaps on the offensive line, while Hill played another eight on special teams at NC State.
The Snellville, Ga., native appeared in three games on the team’s field goal and extra-point units this season. He played eight total snaps in the process.
Hill is the fifth NC State scholarship player to either announce their intention of transferring or enter the portal, joining wide receiver Kevin Concepcion, linebackers Jayland Parker and Wyatt Wright, and defensive lineman DJ Jackson.
While Hill was a backup on the offensive line during his time at NC State, his impact transcended the football field. He served as the president of Pack United, a student-athlete led non-profit organization at NC State.

Hill helped advance that group, whose mission serves on three pillars of awareness, education and action to promote social justice, food and housing access, educational equity and civic engagement in the community. Hill was also the football representative on the NC State Student-Athlete Advisory Council.
The offensive lineman’s involvement off the field was something that seemed to touch coach Dave Doeren earlier this season.
“Sean’s a tremendous teammate,” Doeren said in September. “He’s a leader on campus outside of the football team with what he does with OnePack Empowered, what he does on our campus and away from our campus and the different things he does to learn and grow and bring back to his teammates.”
“He cares a lot about what’s going on in that locker room. … He’s a tremendous young man. It’s great to see a guy that’s not playing on game day, but his impact is felt throughout the locker room.”
Hill has one season of eligibility remaining as a graduate transfer.
