NC State OL Timothy McKay to play 6th season with Pack
NC State redshirt junior offensive lineman Timothy McKay will play one more season with the program. The critical Wolfpack starter announced Friday evening that he plans on spending his sixth and final collegiate season in Raleigh.
He started every game this season at either right tackle or right guard and provided a consistent presence in the program’s starting five. McKay participated in NC State’s annual senior day ceremony.
The 6-4, 312-pound graduate student played on the interior of the line for the final 5 games of the year, helping the Wolfpack win each of those matchups.
McKay announced his return on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.
“One Last Ride… #Year6 #GoPack,” the veteran offensive lineman wrote.
Over his 5 seasons with the Wolfpack, McKay has started a total of 22 games at both tackle and guard. He finished the 2023 regular season with a 58.9 Pro Football Focus (PFF) grade, playing a total of 811 snaps. The versatile lineman also finished with 67.8 pass protection grade and a 55.1 run blocking mark.
