They say the third time’s the charm. And it was for NC State coach Kevin Keatts in his pursuit of wing Dontrez Styles.  The Wolfpack tried to land Styles out of Kinston (N.C.) High as a prep recruit, but he went to UNC. After two seasons with the Tar Heels, Styles went portaling ahead of the 2023-24 campaign, and the Pack tried to land him again. But he picked Georgetown instead.  Now, after three tries — twice in the transfer portal — Keatts finally landed his guy. Styles was a key piece of the Wolfpack’s No. 18 nationally-ranked portal haul, according to the On3 Industry Ranking.  TheWolfpacker.com is analyzing each of NC State’s anticipated rotation players, looking at their roles and expectations going into a new season. Here’s a view of Styles, a 6-foot-6, 210-pound versatile athlete going into his final season of eligibility.
