NC State lost its first top-10 matchup in program history to Clemson Saturday night— the Wolfpack’s first setback of the season. Following the 30-20 loss, both the Associated Press and Coaches Polls still consider the Pack a top-15 team.

The two polls each slotted NC State at No. 14, with one-loss programs Kentucky and Wake Forest on either side of the Pack in the rankings. Wake Forest is coming off of an impressive win over Florida State that came after its own loss to Clemson. Kentucky lost to Ole Miss Saturday in a close 22-19 showdown on the road.

The Seminoles fell out of the top-25 after losing to the Demon Deacons, so the Wolfpack’s week-six opponent will be unranked going into the primetime matchup. Syracuse remained undefeated after defeating Wagner over the weekend and now has a bye week before hosting NC State week seven. The Orange are ranked No. 21 in the Coaches poll and No. 22 in the AP poll.

A total of 4 ACC programs are ranked in both polls this week, and Clemson paces the conference with its No. 5 ranking.
