NC State Rewind: Naming the women's team of the 2024-25 athletics year

As the roar of the crowd seemed like it was going to fade, NC State women’s basketball gave it another reason to come to life one more time. The Wolfpack, which knocked off Michigan State in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, partied on the floor after capping its third-ever undefeated season inside Reynolds Coliseum. NC State’s 18-0 record inside the 76-year-old building gave the 5,500 fans clad in red and white one last thing to cheer about as its senior trio of Aziaha James, Madison Hayes and Saniya Rivers left their home floor for the final time. As the sold-out gym erupted, James seemed to finally give into the moment.
