NC State TE Justin Joly holds himself to higher standard after Wolfpack debut
In his first game with NC State, junior tight end Justin Joly appeared to do everything that was asked of him in the Pack’s 38-21 win over Western Carolina. He caught five passes for 75 yards — had a 50-yard touchdown wiped off the board by an illegal man downfield — and blocked well in the run game. For Wolfpack coach Dave Doeren, it was a good debut for the UConn transfer. “I thought Justin Joly really played well in that football game,” Doeren said Monday. “He did some really good things. I think him and Grayson have good chemistry right now.” But if you ask Joly, he has a different opinion of his first game in the NC State uniform.
