NC State to play in 2025 Jacksonville Baseball Classic
NC State baseball’s run to the Men’s College World Series seems to be paying dividends when it comes to scheduling. The Wolfpack will play in the 2025 Jacksonville Baseball Classic on Feb. 21-23, the event announced Tuesday morning.
It will be the second iteration of the tournament, which will also feature Alabama, Coastal Carolina and Ohio State in a four team weekend, hosted by Miami Marlins Triple-A affiliate Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. The event is similar to that of an NCAA Tournament Regional format with three games in as many days, but the squads will all play each other once in a round robin.
“We are extremely excited to be back for year two of the Jax College Baseball Classic here at 121 Financial Ballpark,” Peak Events vice president Nathan Wooldridge said in a statement. “The 2025 lineup is loaded with high-caliber teams with exciting fan bases, and we look forward to providing both the players and fans with a unique and memorable college baseball experience here in beautiful Jacksonville!”
All six games in the event will be broadcast exclusively on D1Baseball.com. The matchups each day will be announced at a later date.

The Wolfpack finished the 2024 season with a 38-23 record, which culminated in its second trip to Omaha in the last four seasons. NC State won the Raleigh Regional with ease before it beat Georgia in the Athens Super Regional in three games to punch its ticket to the College World Series.
NC State will enter the 2025 season with coach Elliott Avent on the top step of the dugout for his 29th season in Raleigh. He has been pivotal in the Wolfpack’s rise through the national landscape over the last two decades and Avent will be back to continue his quest for the program’s first national title.
