NC State women’s basketball finished last week without a win. For the first time since the week of Nov. 13, the Wolfpack ranks outside of the top 10 in the Associated Press Poll.
Following its recent losses, NC State fell from No. 6 to No. 12.
The program played two road contests and lost consecutive games for the first time this season, falling to 23-5 overall and 11-5 in the ACC with two games to play. NC State finishes out the regular season with contests against Syracuse and Wake Forest. The Pack is not the highest ranked team in the ACC after holding that tile for months. Virginia Tech now paces the conference at No. 5.
UNC started the Wolfpack’s week with a loss, putting up 80 points on the program and splitting the regular season rivalry series. NC State then hit the road for Durham and lost to Duke. Each of the Wolfpack’s past four losses have been by 10 or more points.

“We’re still in a position to control our own destiny,” Moore said after the setback against Duke. “But I’m also concerned about how we’re playing, so it’s a combination. You hate to talk too much about the things around it. The important thing is, when you step between those lines, you’re ready to play, you’re mentally prepared, you’re ready to compete and we talked about that moving forward”
NC State is one of five ACC programs ranked in the AP’s top-25. No. 17 Notre Dame, No. 19 Syracuse and No. 22 Louisville join the Wolfpack and Virginia Tech in the poll. Duke and Miami also received votes.
The Pack sits 2 points behind No. 11 Oregon State and 16 behind No. 10 UConn.
