In Teddy Hoffmann’s final game of his Boca Raton (Fla.) Atlantic High career, he turned heads around the country. The three-star wideout caught 12 passes for 240 yards and four touchdowns against Florida powerhouse St. Thomas Aquinas — an impressive stat line against a team littered with power conference recruits Hoffmann, a FAU commit at the time, saw his recruitment take another step forward. He was already keen on flipping to NC State, but it took another step up as Boston College and Florida State headlined the new crop of programs that jumped into the mix.  While the breakout performance in his final high school game seemed to validate what the Wolfpack thought of Hoffmann’s ability, it did the same for the No. 176 wide receiver in the nation. He was confident in his skill set, and it finally paid off against some of the top defensive backs in the Sunshine State.  Now, as an early enrollee at NC State, it seemed as if Hoffmann picked up right where he left off in high school.
