NC State’s early enrollees have been a ‘pleasant surprise’ in bowl practice

WASHINGTON — NC State coach Dave Doeren entered uncharted territory when the Wolfpack’s bowl practices kicked off in Raleigh. It only increased as the Pack made the four-hour drive north to face East Carolina in the Go Bowling Military Bowl this week.  The Wolfpack, which is in its 10th bowl in Doeren’s 12 seasons, brought six of its 11 early enrollees on campus to participate in the team’s bowl practices. The extra time on the practice field is a way to make the college transition easier for some, but it isn’t something Doeren has done before this month.
