NC State’s Super Regional schedule released
No. 10 NC State is back in a Super Regional for the first time since it made it to the Men’s College World Series in 2021. It is set to make a trip to No. 7 Georgia this weekend, just two wins away from its second Omaha appearance in four years.
Now, the Bulldogs and Wolfpack know when they will play.
The first game is set for Saturday at noon on ESPNU, while Sunday is scheduled for noon on ESPNU A possible third contest is set for Monday with a to-be-determined time. All three games will take place at Foley Field in Athens, Ga.
While NC State is in a Super Regional, it is joined by four other ACC programs to make the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament this summer. The league’s five bids into the Super Regional round matches the most in the conference’s history — its highest total since the 2013 campaign.
The ACC is tied with the SEC for the most teams in this round at five each. Clemson and NC State are the only two ACC squads set to play an SEC program in the Super Regionals (Florida and Georgia, respectively).
With five opportunities to send a team to Omaha, the ACC appears to be in a good position to extend its streak with at least one team there. The conference has recorded one bid in college baseball’s pinnacle event in each of the last 17 seasons, while it has had multiple teams there 11 times over that span.
