Ole Miss transfer Trenton Lyons embraces versatility, ‘excited’ to join NC State

Trenton Lyons has played five different positions in the last six months. He was primarily a catcher at Ole Miss, though he did play first and second as well. This summer, he’s playing with the Holly Springs Salamanders, where Lyons has served most of his time at shortstop with stints at catcher and third.  Versatile would be an understatement in describing Lyons’ game. That’s exactly what he has embraced at the collegiate level.
