Pack Pros: DL Alim McNeill posts second multi-TFL game of season

Former NC State Pack Pro defensive lineman Alim McNeill posted a standout performance in the Detroit Lions’ 26-23 win over the Houston Texans on Sunday Night Football. 

The defensive tackle posted six total tackles, including five solo stops, with a pair of tackles for a loss and a sack in the win. The performance marked McNeill’s second contest with two tackles for a loss this season. 

While McNeill stood out in the Lions’ win, he wasn’t the only Pack Pro in action this weekend. Here’s a look at how the other former NC State standouts fared in their respective NFL games.

OT Ikem Ekwonu (2019-21), #79 Carolina Panthers: Ekwonu played 51 total snaps in the Panthers’ 20-17 win over the New York Giants in Germany.

P Trenton Gill (2018-21) #47 Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Gill is on the Buccaneers practice squad. 

WR Kelvin Harmon (2016-18), #84 Dallas Cowboys: Harmon is on the Cowboys’ practice squad. 

DL B.J. Hill Jr. (2014-17), #92 Cincinnati Bengals: Hill logged four total tackles, including three solo stops, in the Bengals’ 35-34 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night Football. He also logged a tackle for a loss in the defeat.

RB Nyheim Hines (2015-17), #22 Cleveland Browns: The Browns were on bye this week.

S Tanner Ingle (2018-22), #34 Los Angeles Rams: Ingle is on the Rams’ practice squad.

DT Justin Jones (2014-17), #93 Arizona Cardinals: Jones was placed on the Cardinals’ injured reserve with a triceps injury. He will miss the rest of the season to recover.

LB Vi Jones (2019-21), #53 Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jones is on the Buccaneers’ practice squad for the 2024 season.

CB Robert Kennedy III (2023), #40 Los Angeles Chargers: Kennedy is on the Chargers’ practice squad for the 2024 season. 

DT T.Y. McGill Jr. (2011-14), #96 San Francisco 49ers: McGill is on the 49ers’ practice squad for the 2024 season. 

C Dylan McMahon (2019-23), #63 Los Angeles Rams: McMahon is not expected to play in the Rams’ game against the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football.

DL Kentavius Street (2014-17), #75 Atlanta Falcons: Street recorded 20 total snaps in the Falcons’ 20-17 loss to the New Orleans Saints. He did not record a tackle in the defeat.

WR Thayer Thomas (2017-22), #89 Minnesota Vikings: Thomas is on the Vikings practice squad. 

LB Drake Thomas (2019-22), #42 Seattle Seahawks: The Seahawks were on bye this week.

OL Joe Thuney (2012-15), #62 Kansas City Chiefs: Thuney played 68 total snaps in the Chiefs’ 16-14 win over the Denver Broncos. 

LB Payton Wilson (2018-23), #41 Pittsburgh Steelers: Wilson recorded one total tackle in the Steelers’ 28-27 win over the Washington Commanders. 

QB Russell Wilson (2007-09, finished at Wisconsin), #3 Pittsburgh Steelers: Wilson was 14-of-28 passing for 195 yards with three touchdowns and an interception in the Steelers’ 28-27 win over the Washington Commanders. He was sacked three times and posted a QBR of 72.7 in the victory.

OL Chandler Zavala (2021-22), #62 Carolina Panthers: Zavala played eight total snaps in the Panthers’ 20-17 win over the New York Giants in Germany alongside fellow Pack Pro Ikem Ekwonu.
